Homag "BAZ 322/40/K" CNC Machining Center - Contour Edgebander

Working capacity "X" Axis is 4,000 mm (157.5"); "Y" axis is 1,525 mm (60") for vertical routing/drilling & edgebanding;

"Z" Axis stroke is 535 mm (21"), max. material thickness when edge banding is 60 mm (2.3");

Min. internal radius 30 mm (1.2"), min. external radius 8 mm (0.3") depending on the banding material & thickness. . 

"X" & "Y" axis positioning speed 80 MPM (262 FPM), "Z" axis position speed 30 MPM (98 FPM);

AC Brushless Servo motors with digital drive and THK linear guides ensure high speeds with a smooth acceleration/deceleration. 

(7)"K-table" Support rails with (4) lifting bars for large panels,(2) matrix type vacuum pods per support rail; (2) independent work zones. 

4 HP (3 kW) motor, variable speed from 1,500 - 7,500 RPM); (1) Independent vertical drilling spindles with (6) spindles in "X" axis & (5) spindles in "Y" axis

(1) 4-wayhorizontal boring unit with attachment for a saw blade

(1) 20 HP (15 kW) liquid cooled electro-spindle router with HSK-F63 adaptor, (1,000 - 24,000 RPM);

(1) NC controlled "C" axis for 360ø horizontal processing; (1) 12-position plate-type rotary tool changer. 

Floating "Hot Melt" + "Quick Melt" glueunit & application roller with separate thermostats apply glue on the panel edge.

Pneumatically controlled pressure roller with manually adjustable guides for coil & strip feeding; NC controlled pre-snipping unit with encoder that measures strip feeding process & pre snipping.

Preheated tape magazine with warning sensor when the end of the spool is near;

(1) 2-coil Tape magazine precisely applies 0.4 - 3 mm ABS & PVC and 0.4 - 2.0 mm Veneer & HPL coil stock

Edgebanding is automatically applied to square or irregularly shaped parts as the CNC manufacturing head rotates along the "X" "Y" & "Z" axis, and simultaneously rotates the tooling on a high precision "C" axis.

Pneumatically activated saw blade performs the end trimming at a 35° angle for precise fitting of overlapping joints on adjoining edges. 

"HOMATIC PC 85 Power Control" + WINDOWS NT 4.0 operating system; icon driven software with a graphical interface to allow the operator to quickly & efficiently create programs & diagnose malfunctions in simple terminology.

9 GB Hard drive; 15" TFT color monitor; Pentium III processor, 512 MB RAM; 144 MB Disk drive; 32X CD ROM drive; RS-422 serial & USB connection; (2) line adaptors RS-232 & 485.2 with 9-25 pin and card for RS-232 line (cables not included).
